The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the general welfare, sheltering and placement of animals: prevention of cruelty to animals and animal overpopulation; education concerning humane treatment of animals; and involvement in other animal welfare issues.

 The Institute for Better Education provides scholarships for students that choose to attend independent or parochial schools for their K through grade 12 education. Our volunteer Board believes every student should have equal access to a quality education.

 Southwest Youth sports & Education was founded on the three core principles of Fun, Family & fitness. SYS is a private, non-profit youth and family organization dedicated to supporting the health and wellness of the youth and families if southern Arizona.

SYS serves the community by offering coed-recreational youth sports and activities for a nominal fee with no fund raising or sponsorshipre quirements. Family involvement is encouraged and required while fun and fitness are always emphasized.

 The Tucson Heat offers tournament teams for boys and girls in grades 6-12. Along with being a talented basketball player, a team member must maintain good grades: demonstrate good citizenship in school and in their community and  adhere to the principles of good sportsmanship. The atmosphere of the Tucson HEAT program is designed to foster multi-cultural understanding and awareness.
